MC MURDA E5

Designed to meet the requirements of both the commercial and recreational user, the E5 features transmits on 406 and 121.5MHz and includes a high brightness LED light which helps rescue services locate you at night or in poor visibility. Location is determined within 5km (3 miles) by measuring the doppler shift of the EPIRB's signal through the COSPAS-SARSAT network. Once in the area, rescue services are then able to pinpoint your precise location using inbuilt 121.5Mhz homing transmitter.
The Smartfind/E5 EPIRB battery offers a minimum 48hr operation and a 6 year battery life. The Smartfind/E5 also features a comprehensive diagnostic and self-test facility to keep you up to date on remaining battery usage and EPIRB operation. The EPIRB is supplied with a manual release bracket.

SAILOR SE II

INMARSAT

FURUNO Felcom 15

The FELCOM 15 is FURUNO's new Inmarsat-C Mobile Earth Station. It provides a high quality two-way telex and data link between ships and other parties at sea or on land. All functions and services of the Inmarsat-C system are provided: EGC (Safety NET/Fleet NET), distress message handling, two-way digital store-and-forward messaging including polling, data reporting, E-mail, etc. Distress alert are initiated by the remote distress alert unit. The distress message including own ship's position is easily edited. A PC can be used for editing the message via Ethernet when it is supplied with dedicated software.
The FELCOM 15 consists of an antenna and display unit with keyboard. The display unit embodies a 10.4" colour LCD and processor unit. The distress alert button is incorporated in the display for emergency. Data files and utility program on floppy disks are easily loaded into the processor through the front loading disk drive in the display unit. The compact design of display unit and omni-directional antenna unit offer space-saving installation. An optional GPS module is available for position reporting without operator's intervention. GMDSS compliance can be achieved by adding a printer and a AC/DC power supply unit.

FURUNO Felcom 16 (ssas)

The FELCOM 16 / SSAS facility is a Ship Security Alert System (SSAS) based on Inmarsat mini-C mobile earth station. The standard performance of the FELCOM 16 / SSAS facility meets the requirements of IMO MSC. 136(76) and MSC. 144(77). The Inmarsat mini-C system is proven for VMS (Vessel Monitoring System), guaranteeing high security alert performance.
The system is intended for transmitting a security alert when the ship is under attack by pirates, terrorists, etc. It notifies a preset flag administration on land that the ship is under threat, without generating any audio/visual alarms to prevent others onboard from sensing that a security alert is transmitted. Its multi-addressed transmission function enables reports to a ship’s owner as well as to a flag administration in parallel.

The JUE-87 is a highly reliable mobile satellite data communication system, having the ability to handle commercial, operational and personal messages just as easily as distress and safety communications.
JRC JUE-87 Inmarsat C is a digital satellite communication system whereby data can be encoded into digital format, whether text, numeric data from instruments or other information in digital format can be sent and received over the system. JRC Jue 95 sa

The JUE-95SA complies with new IMO regulations, requiring inclusion of two security alarm buttons. These buttons are located discreetly on the vessel, to be activated covertly in cases of piracy or terrorist attack. The activation transmits an alert signal from vessel to shore; alerting authorities the vessel is under threat or compromised security.
